Characteristic Based ATP check

Hi Guru,

We are having a requirement want to consider batch characteristic values in Product availability check, my silly question is how gATP (PAC) retain the confirmation between the demand and suitable supply?

Please note: We don't use any material varaint / configurable material, purely make to stock, not make to order.

For example

Product: Shoe

Batch 1      100 EA  colour: Red

Batch 2      100 EA  colour: Yellow

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

1. Sales order XYA  Required  80EA Red colour, confirm 80 EA of Batch 1           

Question: Once confirm sales order XYA, how to know 80 EA of batch 1 assign to XYA?   or if not assignment to sales order, if anywhere will tell you BATCH 1 has been occupied 80 EA? the remaining available quantity is 20 EA.

2. 2nd sales order XYB comes in later, it needs Red colour as well, If it will see only 20 EA available?
