Dear all,

is it possible to change the description of attribute as Key Figure in a planning area? In Attributes as Key Figure tab in PA I dont see Planning Area Attribute Description change option active.

I can't change the attribute description itself as it is standard one and is part of MD types of different areas.

My interest is LEADTIMETRANSPORTATION attribute in Location Source MD.

Thank you!

BR, Halyna

Hi @contovhal,

With an Attribute As Key Figure (AAKF), you have the following places where you find information on the names / descriptions:

  • Planning Areas > Planning Area [XYZ] > Attribute As Key Figures > [Attribute ID] > Planning Area Attribute Description

You will not that, here, you can not change the Planning Area Attribute Description. Nor can you add the Attribute via Planning Areas > Planning Area [XYZ] > Attributes. So, to answer your question: no, you can not change the Name of the Attribute As Key Figure via 'Planning Areas'. You will see this Planning Area Attribute Description appearing in your Master Data Workbook (Excel Add-In) or in your 'Manage Master Data' app in the WebUI. However, you can change the name and description of this Attribute via the WebUI in the app 'Attributes'. Note that this will likely require re-activation.

Now, if you are not interested in the Master Data, but rather in the Key Figure name, then please read below. Note that these are not directly connected.

Once you have configured an AAKF, you will also see the Key Figure ID (same as Attribute ID) appearing in the following location:

  • Planning Areas > Planning Area [XYZ] > Key Figures > [Attribute ID = Key Figure ID] > Name / Description

Note that the Key Figure Name chosen here will be the one which is visible in the Planning Views. The Description is intended for further explanation of the Key Figure.

I hope this helped.

Kind regards,
