Change of Location Type from 1001 to 1002 withouth deleting the location

Hi Folks,

recently few locations have been ciffed to APO system with location type 1001 instead of 1002. Because of that deployment is not generating results. What we did from our end was making the changes on S4 side. MM Team have maintained the location type as Distribution Centre at their end which we tried to cif via integration modules. But, the changes are not getting reflected in APO.

We don't want to delete the locations as there are various dependencies and day to day transactions happening on those locations. And this process will become cumbersome. What can be done in this case?

You can use the program /SAPAPO/CHANGE_LOCTYPE to change the location type.

After changing the location type in APO system we've to create IMs and transfer the plant to APO to see the change in LOC3
