Hi,
i'm having issues on cartonization. Right now the system calculates the boxes based on liquid volume. This is causing the client a lot of overpacking issues. There is a way to do cartonization with solid volume? Any suggestions?
Thanks in advance

Hi Ajit,
currently what we are updating in out MD is the Units of measure tab.
There is no data on packaging material tab. So you're suggesting that if we update those measures, on pack mat tab, the system will check the solid volume and not the liquid and solve my overpacking issues?
The system will "play tetris" trying to fill the packaging material at its maximum ?

Hi entity999,
As per my understanding, in product master, we have different options to enter different unit of measure (liquid(L) /Solid(KG) and volume in capacities (packaging data tab in Tcode /SCWM/MAT1).
I guess you might have to maintain volume in capacity for solid which would check the correct packaging in packing specification.
Please let me know if you have any doubts.
Kind Regards,
Ajit
