carrier Ranking list in SAP TM

Under subcontracting tab of an FO , carrier ranking list was generated.Please let me know how carrier ranking is done . Below are pre-checks i did

1)Checked the relevant transportation lanes maintained for Source & Destination location, no transportation & carrier costs maintained to give carrier ranking list automatically

2)Under strategy relevant for carrier selection :

a)Priority / Costs = cost * priority (no cost specified in transportation lane & no priority )

b)cost Origin = costs calculated by TCM

C)No continuous move

3)Checked carrier selection settings : Type of Carrier Selection Settings : Which is general carrier selection

how the carrier ranking is generated

Maybe the best to run this scenario as basic as possible and make it works, after that make it more complex. Starting with transportation lane settings, each carrier a priority etc

ok understood , In my case no carrier ranking is giving in transportation lane and in optimizer settings the planning strategy used if VSR_DEF and in carrier selection setting the planning strategy used is TSPS_DEF , but still carrier ranking list is generated under Subcontracting

it's also possible without optimizer. I have used the strategy transportation lane settings in the carrier selection profile. In the transportation lane you have to give each carrier a priority. After Carrier selection in the Freight Order, you can see the ranking list in the Carrier Ranking tab.

i dont have access to check at the moment , so if VSR_1STEP is used the carrier selection should be done automatically after Optimization run . Then this will bypass carrier ranking list ? Please confirm is carrier ranking list is generated from which of the following : Transportation lane settings , Carrier selection settings Or VSR_1STEP ?

Yes carriers assigned to transportation lane and there no costs ,priority defined.

And also how to find out carrier selection settings and planning profile based on carrier ? any idea
