Capitalized asset equipment location tracking

Can capitalized (fixed) asset equipment tracking at off-site customer locations be tracked via other means than the use of inventory non-value plants?

This process crosses multiple modules - Asset Module and Equipment Master, and Inventory Controlling. Reporting is less-than-ideal, and the number of transactions required is problematic? I would hope there are other options?

Equipment placed is provided to customers for use, but ownership retained by us. It may move back and forth between a customer site and a repair depot. Equipment can be lot-traceable (non-serialized) creating issues with use of the equipment master.

There is a series of additional PM functionality called Equipment & Tools Management (ETM) which may help.

Otherwise you could create your own report(s) to support your processes.
