Capacity consumption rate of a storage resource

Hello,

in the MD Location Product Resource it give the attribut "Capacity consumption rate". If I have now a storage resource, what is the point in this case of this attribut? How many I can storage ?

Hi Oliver,

Storage resource that is used to store a particular product at a location. Each storage resource can be used to store multiple products at a location, but each location-product combination can consume only one storage resource.

CAPACONSUMPTION

This is the capacity consumption of the specified resource at the location per unit of measure of the product, where the capacity consumption is identical in all periods.

Storage resources can be consumed only by projected stock. No additional consumption (for example, by production) is possible. If you assign a storage resource to a production source resource, the system issues an error message during planning.

Hi Oliver,

Stock On Hand is loaded On hand Inventory for Prod/Loc (Stored KF)

Projected Stock is the output of Supply Run, there can be many reasons why it is blank. Can you share the screenshot of below KF -

- All Receipts KF (Production/Transport)

- Dependent Location Demand

- Consensus Demand

If you have value populated for above KF after Heuristic run, you should have value for Projected Stock.

every KF with contain Stock is empty.

- Stock on Hand
- Projected Stock
- Average Projected Stock.

Which Situation is necessary, that I have values in this key figures if I have run the heurisitk.

I have one product, one resource and one customer. the capacity is 750 per unit and the consensus demand is 500 every month, only in one month.

I saw it in an IBP book, that this keyfigures are fullfill.

As Lingaiah mentioned , that's exactly the way storage resources work.

Can you share some screenshots to depict your situation? Also include Average Projected Stock KF .

But if I run the heuristik, the projected stock is empty.
