Capacity constraint not adhere by IBP Order-series Optimizer

Hi Experts,

I have been trying to achieve a simple scenario.

At Plant - Unconstrained FC in a daily bucket lets say 100/per day for one month period. In the profile I have kept Capacity constraint as Active. For capacity, I am editing the daily capacity in the "Capacity available adjusted" Key figure and finally getting the value in "Capacity available final" as 50/day.

On running the OS Optimizer, the 100% demand is getting fulfilled. No capacity constraint is restricting the production plan.

Hi Richik,

Isn't the demand getting fulfilled with 50% of it on time and the other 50% late?

If you have a demand of 100 and capacity of 50/day, you can satisfy 50 EA of the demand on time and 50 EA late in the next day.

Does the plant have multiple resource and the product have multiple PDS ? If not please check the PDS of the product and check the capacity consumption. Either you have multiple PDS or your variable consumption in the PDS is too less.
