Cannot post in posting period even though the posting period is open

Hello all,

Our financial year runs from April to March, which means that that period 1 is in April and that we are currently in period 4 (July). The period is open:

In Manage Posting Periods everything is open as well from 01-2024 until 12-2024, except adjustment periods which are still in 2023.

However, when I try to post a supplier invoice, I get the below error:

What is causing this error and why can't I post the supplier invoice?

Hi Floyd,

I would try the following (if you've not been able to fix this):

- Use posting date of June 1st, 2024 to see if it's possible to post. Based on your explanation this posting should be successful. If you're not able to post I would double check: Company Code, Assignment of Fiscal Year variants and the dates.

- If the posting before is successful I would then open the next period (5). Leaving the possibility to post in months July and August. PLEASE EVALUATE THIS ALTERNATIVE TOROUGHLY SINCE IT'S NOT POSSIBLE TO REOPEN PAST LOGISTICS PERIODS.

 I hope this helps, if it doesn't please add the full Supplier screen invoice to see if the community has additional suggestions. Thanks!
