Hello Experts,
During Planning Area activation appears the error - Cannot add attribute [attribute name] and set it to required in one step.
If to unmark the attribute as required - the error still the same.
Master data types are active.
Any ideas what might be the cause of the problem?

Hi serhii_rud,
Below is the procedure to add a required attribute to the master data.
1. Add attribute as non required first
2. Activate the planning area and add data to that attribute
3. Change the attribute category as required
4. Activate the planning area again
For more information please see the below snapshot. I hope this will solve your problem.

Hello,
This is logical error.
If you are trying to make an attribute required then it needs to have data. so it has to be 2 step process.
1. First add, activate and and maintain data
2. Modify as required and re-activate.
Thanks
Girish
