Can packaging material decide what HU type will be created in SAP EWM

Can you please advice if packaging material can dictate what HU type that can be created with this packaging material in SAP EWM?

Hi Jürgen

for my packaging material I could not add the view "WM Packaging" View. So that my inbound delivery stucks in the queue bc of the packaging material which does not have a HU Type.

Where do I need to maintain the HU Type as I cannot add the WM Packaging view in mm02.

"Could not add" does not exist. If you do not have this view, your customizing is incomplete. Check for the BC Set /SPE/MATERIAL_SCREENS.

That should not cause that the delivery is stuck. I do not think that the HU Type is a requirement (but I might be wrong).
