Can APO be used with S4/HANA?

My company currently uses ECC connected to SCM mainly for the APO gATP functionality. We are migrating to S4/HANA. We use gATP for Location and Product Subsitution and S4 aATP does not have full gATP functionality yet. Does SAP provide a Core Interface (CIF) to connect S4 with SCM?

Hello,

Yes you can run SCM APO and have a new upgraded S/4 HANA system together.

Available Modules Demand Planning (DP)

• Supply Network Planning (SNP)
• Production Planning and Detailed Scheduling (PP/DS)
• Global available-to-promise (gATP)
• Service Parts Planning (SPP)

The usage of standard application interfaces for SAP Advanced Planning and Optimization in SAP S/4HANA 1511 (and subsequent releases) is supported to the same extend as for example with SAP ERP Enhancement Package 7.

You will have the same setup here the normal Core Interface settings (CIF).
