Can a reason code be mandatory in IBP?

Dear experts

We have a simple question regarding reason codes. Can it be made obligatory that a reason code is given when changing a specific key figure?

If yes, can this also be done only for a specific group of users?

Our end goal is that Demand Planners have the option to enter a reason code, but not mandatory. Sales Managers on the other hand have to enter a reason code, so cannot save changes without entering a reason code.

Hi Kristof,

By default reason codes are optional and further you can suppress the entire dialog box with parameter SUPPRESS_RC_COMMENT in global configuration. It seems that you want the Sales Managers to enter a reason code, something like JAM Group defaulting option in Excel Add-in -> Settings. I am sure if IBP has this kind of flexibility yet. Did you try creating an OSS incident to inquire with SAP?
