Build Up for Inventory

Hi experts,

Does anyone know how to build inventory in IBP for IO due to seasonality without any changes in demand?

For example: I have a period from September to May when there is an increasing demand, however the plant can´t supply enough inventory to attend it.

What I want is to build inventory one or two months prior to that period even with a lower demand forecast.

PS: Supply planning is already considering seasonality (surplus capacity) however I´d like to visualize that in inventory target.

Hi,

My suggestion would be to add custom key figures and maintain the additional inventory figures and included in the Recommended Safety Stock key figure.

This way you can have clear visibility of additional inventory and system-generated figures.

Note: If demand planning in future forecast considers seasonal effect and plan accordingly, the same forecast input to supply and inventory planning.
