BOM Unit of measure (table STPO) does not have a corresponding Alternate UoM

Hi, I am working on a report in which I am supposed to convert all BOM component quantities to its Base Unit of measure (MARA-MEINS) and perform a calculation. For example, Base UoM for a material XYZ in MARA or MM03 is 'KG' (kilogram). However, on the bill of material where XYZ is a component, its maintained as 'GR' (gram). Now, in a normal case, you would find the unit 'GR' maintained in the Alternate Unit tab (Additional data-> Unit of measure), but I am finding cases where the Alternate unit (and the corresponding factor i.e. numerator and denominator) is not maintained against the Base UoM.

is this a master data maintenance issue? or is there a way we can find this relation maintained elsewhere?

Thanks.

Not sure about table MEAN but MARM we did. It does not have the Alternate measure maintained
