I have created two storage locations. One for raw materials and one for finished goods. I would like to know how to block movement from raw materials to finished goods in SAP EWM. Is it possible to stop transferring raw materials for finished goods location in SAP? Thank you in advance.

Hi,
"I have created two storage locations. "
Just to make clear: storage locations. NOT bins, yes?
"I would like to know how to block movement from raw materials to finished goods in SAP EWM. Is it possible to stop transferring raw materials for finished goods location in SAP? "
I would not know how to do that in EWM (but of course I might be wrong). And I also would not know why you want to do that. What is the reason not to allow this?
eric-sap0618 , uuuuu5uu ; "Hi Sir, you can use availability group to restrict movement for material between different storage location."
Could you explain how to do that?

All the above is no official SAP statement.
Want to learn EWM?
Check for EWM courses: https://training.sap.com/trainingpath/Applications-Extended+Warehouse+Management-EWM+in+S4HANA

And it is EWM. NOT eWM - Duh!
And if your question includes the word "transfer order" - do NOT tag the question with Extended Warehouse Management!

Hi Jüregen, technically it is possible if there are two different availability groups and different Non-Location-Dependent Stock Types.
St. type 1 has 001 and XX = Stock type X1
St. type 2 has mandatory avl. group 002 and no mandatory Non-Location-Dependent Stock Type, in this case during the movement system does posting from 001 + XX to 002 + XX, if mapping for 002+XX to stock type is not customized this posting and the movement wont work.
It is still possible to move using /scwm/post, but sometimes it is enough for some specific process, e.g. when QQ stock is not allowed in the storage location.

Hi,

OK, never tested this.
"if mapping for 002+XX to stock type is not customized" - which leads again to the question: but what is the use of that?
"It is still possible to move using /scwm/post, but sometimes it is enough for some specific process, e.g. when QQ stock is not allowed in the storage location."
But the question was not about a special location-independent stock type, but a storage location. So not really the same.
