Best Way to Reserve Stock Without MRP Impact

Hi all,

What is the best way to reserve stock in SAP, so that it has no MRP impact and new POs are not triggered? Is there a particular movement type that it would be advisable to use in order to achieve this please? Or is there any other way altogether that not involve reservations? The system should also prevent the reserved qty from being consumed.

Hi,

Utilize the MRP Area functionality to manage your stock. Transfer your existing stock to a designated storage location and then exclude this specific storage location from MRP calculations using the MRP Area feature.
