Best Practices - PP/PI ePPDS Ressource Naming Convention

Hi everyone,

just a short question if anybody know if SAP has a Best Practice for naming a Workcenter or PP/PI Resource.

HI we don't have any best practices from SAP .

But Companies follow some methods to identify some methods

1) Prefix with M for manfacturing 

2) Keep few char for Departments

3) Keep few char for WorkCenter group etc

We decided to go with a 2digits for Department, 3digits for manufacturer of the resource and 3 digits for year of implementation as well a upcounting number to avoid resources with the same manufacturer and same implementation year.
