BC set for Distribution equipment for delivery based production integration

Hello EWM experts,

Below is list of BC sets that SAP has suggested to activate for configuring Distribution Equipment.

This list has four BC sets for advanced production integration.

My client is deploying delivery based production integration. We will not be using advanced production integration.

Do we need to activate these four BC sets related to advanced production integration? Should we deploy rest of them except these four? Or we need to deploy all of them irrespective of method of PP-EWM integration?

Can you please comment?

Hello,

The BC-Sets which belong to the "Advanced Production Integration" also contain warehouse structure setup , for example: storage types, activity areas, customizing for PSA etc.

If you are really sure that you wil not use the Production Material Request (PMR), you might be able to skip the BC Sets which start with /SCWM/PMR* -BUT you have to check the consistency off customizing/following BC Set anyway.

In the end, the BC Sets only show the setup proposal and best practices to try out the process and see how it fits together. A customer scenario has to be derived from the best practice anyway.
