Hello h7676_9812 ,
In SAP EWM standard system while creating batch using tcode-/scwm/wm_batch_maint ,its upto you whether you want to give expiration date or not .System is not going to stop you at all.
In SAP ERP system while creating batch using tcode-MSC1N,once you enter the production date and click on enter system will calculate the expiration date based on the shelf life data maintained in product master.
Whether you have maintained shelf life data or not in SAP ERP system you can also create batch using tcode MSC1N manually without even giving expiry date.
Now while receiving the stock in EWM system ,In Standard system using the standard options there is no such restriction anywhere that you have to enter expiration date .As I understood your question ,you are looking for this standard functionality only which is already there in both the systems .Hope I have understood your query and wrote the points as per your expectation .Kindly suggest me if you have different opinion/question in this regard. Thanks.

Hi Mohammed Javed Khan,
Thanks for your information.
In EWM we are create a batch while posting the GR, we aren't using this -/scwm/wm_batch_maint.
We are not using MSC1 transaction.
Whenever I try to post a GR in EWM system ask maintain MFG and SLED. Without enter SLED i cannot post the GR.
Could you please tell there is any functionality to post the GR without enter SLED in EWM?
Regards
Harish
HI Sunil,
When GR has completed in EWM or ERP I don't want expiration date update in batch master.
Our requirement is at the time of GR only maintaining the MFG date and expiration date should be empty.
So which setting have to do. Could you please support?
Regards,
Harish.
