Batch processing issue: Background job is still running

Hello Experts,

I am facing an issue while executing a background job, the job is in Active status for very long and the job log is the same. It seems that backgound is not progressing at all. I checked the Workprocess PID for the respective App Server but its status is Running.

I checked the PID thru SM30 and status is Running, also tested the Program on tcode SAT everything is okay. I have attached the snapshot of the job log.

Kindly share your comments/ suggestions for the issue.

There is a flag for express mail in the Settings of the Distribution list (SO23). You might want to check whether activating this makes any difference.
