Batch characteristics on GR process

Dear SAP Gurus,

      Anyone can suggest on std. trx. /SCWM/PRDI and /SCWM/GR to perform GR, is there any field to input batch characteristics for Inbound delivery doc?

Hello Peeraphat,

you can enter the SAP EWM standard characteristics in the respective fields of the inbound delivery item. Those fields are:

• Country of origin
• SLED/ BBD
• Production date
• For other characteristics, you need to add fields to the customer extension structure (EEW).

The system will use the content of these fields when you create the batch automatically.

If you do not create the batch at this point in time, the system populates the fields from the batch master. This includes initializing fields when the batch master does not contain a value.

Hi Anoop,

      Thank you for your assist. Normally, user need to input batch char info during GR might be user in production or other dept. Do you know any text or optional field to fill in manual?

Can you please explain us in little more details why it is needed?

Answer to your question is no the batch characterstics are not visible in inbound delivery documents and there are no such fields. Only batch number and Production/manufacturer date and Expiry dates are populated in delivery.
