BAPI_PRODORDCONF_CREATE_TT - Goods Movement Posting

Hi All,

I am trying to post a goods movement through the BAPI_PRODORDCONF_CREATE_TT, I am populating the entry_qnt as 6 and entry_uom as LB in the goodsmovement table. The goods movement is happening successfully, but when i check the documented goods movement the posting is 6 EA, instead of 6 LB. The Base unit of measure for the material is 'EA'.

Hello,

Has your material the conversion between EA and LB in the master data?

Otherwise the system will ignore your LB, not knowing how much material you are consuming.

Hi Milesi,

Yes i have maintained the conversion in MM02, Additional Data -> 1EA = 3 LB. The stock is being consumed in EA , when checked in MMBE.

For the movement 6 EA got consumed instead of 2 EA. ( 6LB = 2EA). System is ignoring the UOM being passed.

Hello,

Are you posting the confirmation against the production order/resrevation?

Please check quantity and unit of measure in production order component CO03.

A quantity in base unit of measure is provided to the BAPI from Goods movements which determined for backflushing.

Hi ,

I am passing the reservation number along with the Quantity and UoM in the table for BAPI. In the Production Order the component has value as 2 EA. But the requirement is to post the Goods Movement by converting the quantity to LB. When I pass the Quantity as 6 LB. System is ignoring the UoM and only considering the quantity value.

In Short:

1. In Production Order -> Component 2EA

2. Posting through BAPI -> 6 LB against reservation, but in system it is being posted as 6 EA.

3. Conversion maintained in material master.

Note: I do not encounter this issue if i post the movement through MIGO.

Hello,

Good movement are posted in base unit of measure. You can enter good movement in alternate unit of measure, however it post with base unit of measure.

I posted MIGO good issue as 4 gram system converted it to base unit of measure 0.004 KG

You can enter a goods issue in the unit of issue of the material. The system then automatically converts the specified quantity to the stock keeping unit.

Units of Measure in Inventory Management

You just need to be sure that conversion factor of this new unit is maintained in material master; system will pick this conversion from material master. And unit of issue in work scheduling tab of material master is maintain.

6 LB against reservation good issue should post 2 EA .

Otherwise use UoM EA instead of LB in the BAPI.
