Available Stock in Production plant is not consider during MRP run in Planning Plant

Hello Experts,

We are using the Planning Plant and Production plant concept of MRP Run.

Take an example:

We have 1) Plant A- Planning Plant, 2) Plant B- Production Plant. Customer demand is captured in Plant A. We have a Part XYZ, For Both Plant A and B it is extended. The Special procurement Key Maintained as 81 in Planning Plant A. We have a requirement of 1000 numbers in Plant A and there is no inventory in Plant A. But the Plant B is having the Inventory of 500 nos in place.

When I run the MRP in Planning Plant A , for the requirement of 1000 numbers it is creating a planned order of 1000 numbers and that planned order is transfer to Plant B also. It is not considering the Stock of 500 numbers in Production plant(Plant b).

What is the settings needed to achieve this requirement. Kindly advice me.

Regards,

Pugazhendi S.

Hi Pugazhendi, please check the lot sizing procedure and minimum lot size. Material should have no minimum lot size of 1000. And also, please check the planning strategy group. It should not be 11. As strategy group 11 don't consider the available stocks during planning run.

Cheers,

Darryl
