Hi gurus,
I have a business requirement for automatic packing (automati HU creation) after inbound delivery in EWM.
I have maintained all the necessary configuration, such as:
- Packaging Specification (with HU creation check selected)
- Condition OIBD for my SCU and product
- Necessary number ranges for HU
- Packing profile for WOCR
- Inbound delivery doc type with no automatic packing
Currently i am able to manually create the HU, but i would like that system creates it automatically..
Are you able to help? Am i forgetting any costumizing step?
Have you done any configuration step in the IMG activity ''Define warehouse number control''?

Thanks,
João

Hi,
"- Inbound delivery doc type with no automatic packing"
Wait, you set the flag "no automatic packing" in the document type - and then you expect the system to pack automatically?
What are you settings in the delivery type?

And it is EWM. NOT eWM - Duh!
And if your question includes the word "transfer order" - do NOT tag the question with Extended Warehouse Management!

Hi Juergen,
Sorry, my mistake. I meant 'Inbound delivery doc type with flag 'no automatic packing' unchecked.'
Please see my delivery tupe doc settings below.
Thanks,
João
Actually the answer lies here:

Hello João,
Can you please check the log TCode SLG1 ( With External ID PS_PAK_0IBD_* ) and Condition record .
Note: Log should generate after distribution from ECC to EWM .

Ajit

Hi,
You can see my Pack Spec conditions in the first image i attach here. I've maintained condition type OIBD for my product and my SCU. I do not know if i have to activate anything else so that the system starts considering my pack spec at the moment of IBD distribution to WMS..
Because if i do the packing manually, system correctly creates HU according to my pack spec..but it should do it automatically. You confirm this can be achieved?
Thanks,
João
Hi João,
You confirm this can be achieved?
Yes Already achieved It will work on Decentralized EWM where you have Inbound Delivery Notification.
Standard SAP Documentation for proof:
Link : Automatic Packing in the Inbound Delivery
HU Checkfunction does not display any errors in the log. The system can only perform automatic packing successfully if the packaging specification contains all HU-relevant data (in particular, packaging material, target quantity, and product).
As you are using Embedded EWM on S/4HANA 1610, there will be no inbound delivery notification as per the system design.
I have not yet touch Embedded EWM on S/4HANA 1610. But there are few differences.

Awaiting for Juergen's advise on this and meantime you can raise an OSS message to SAP.

Ajit
Olá Natalia,
Thank you for your inputs.
In fact i've maintained all the settings in the posts you mention, but unfortunately it's not working yet.
If i open my inbound delivery and perform Follow-up functions -> Pack, select my product and press button 'Pack automatically', system in a correct way creates the necessary number of HU's. If my inbound delivery is for 40 pc, and my packaging specification is one pallet = 10 pc, system creates, as desired, 4 HU's.
After that, in the screen for WT creation, i am able to see my HU under the tab 'Handling Units'.
But i am still failing to make the automatic packing.
Regards,
João
