Automate CIF transfer of packing instructions to EWM

Dear Experts,

Is there any option in standard SAP to automatically transfer the packing instructions to EWM as soon as it created ?

Would be possible with some developments. But in general usually it is planned as a job.

Yes, but CIF jobs can be used for initial transfer only.

The CFM1 selection screen for pack spec runs only with limited selection criteria such as material number, procedure.

When a new material is created after initial run, we will have to run CFM1 manually.

Job will not be an option after initial transfer as it will select all packing instructions.

It will be good if there is an option to transfer as soon as packing instruction is created.

CIF works not only for initial transfer.

You need to plan job without material number to have all Packaging instructions selected. When initial transfer is done and model is active new model activation transfer only delta ( only not yet transferred objects ).

Hi,

check SAP Note 2260173 - Transfer of packaging specifications from ERP to EWM system. This only describes the note for the SCM base EWM, but there must be some other notes, also for what you need to implement in ERP.
