Dear Team,
We want to implement BAdi in EWM(1909) system to create the materials in the products master automatically when transferred from S4 system.
When materials are CIFd by the S4 system to EWM system, that material has to be created in EWM by pressing CREATE button. If there are e.g. 35000 materials, someone has to press CREATE button that many times. This is very time consuming task .
EWM has BAdi's which is called by the different CIF-interfaces.
The BAdi's are called: SMOD_APOCF***; the description of the BAdi points to the type of CIF-interface. For this Product interface use the BAdi SMOD_APOCF005.
In this BAdi populate and add the structures ET_MATLWH(X) and ET_MATLWHST(X) (which correspond to the warehouse product tables /sapapo/matlwh and /sapapo/matlwhst).
Loop over the structure ET_MATLOC to get the actual Locations which is needed for the 2 structures to be processed correctly.
We thought the above logic, but seems there is something missing or wrong.
Can any used similar to above logic, can you please suggest or clarify to achieve to implement this?
Many thanks in anticipation.
Regards,
Hari.

Hi,
- if you write that this is about EWM based on 1909 - you don't CIF the material. Because it you would CIF them, there is a switch to create a warehouse product automatically when it is CIFed from ERP to EWM.
- WHY do you want to create these warehouse products? Do you know the reason? Are you really sure you need this warehouse products?
- If you are willing to invest so much time in a BAdI - why don't you use 5 minutes to set up a condition record and run slotting, which can perfectly create the warehouse products without any further effort?

And it is EWM. NOT eWM - Duh!
And if your question includes the word "transfer order" - do NOT tag the question with Extended Warehouse Management!

Thank You Juergen for the reply.
I will try to explain the business reasons, not sure if they will be helpful to understand my requirement. And I have not this activity before, so I am not perfect in this area.
1. We are using Basic EWM and slotting is part of advanced EWM, so in my case I may not use slotting I guess, correct me if I am wrong.
2. All our EWM movements are managed or putaway/picking using POSC, hence we need to setup "warehouse" tab. In other way, maintaining of PACI, Section indicator, SRCI in product master are obligatory for our client.
Can you please guide me, if this is the requirement, what is best way for me to create the materials in EWM?
Letme know incase any other information needed.
Thanks,
Hi,
so your customer is going cheap, and therefore invest a lot of money to build the stuff he is not willing to pay otherwise? Then maybe better stick with stock room management.
"All our EWM movements are managed or putaway/picking using POSC, hence we need to setup "warehouse" tab.
Since when does POSC require a warehouse product?
"In other way, maintaining of PACI, Section indicator, SRCI in product master are obligatory for our client."
Then a blank warehouse product still does not help him. OK, maybe for mass change.
But you are talking about embedded EWM now, that means you never transfer a material from ERP to EWM. So when should this ever happen for existing products?

Not sure you are trying to help or criticize, please share only the possibilities, no need to pinpoint each and every point mentioned in the thread.
Every client will have different requirements, based on their requirement we need look 1st if that is possible in standard, if not 2nd option as a custom solution to fufill that requirement.
For one of your question "Since when does POSC require a warehouse product?"
As an example, We have some products direct putaway(INB/IDLV-Y010), and some products have 2 or 3 step putaway(INB/IDLV-Y1-Y011). We enabled it using process type determination indicator(Y1- which will be assigned in product master), though which we mapped WPT and that determined storage process(POSC), make sense?
Team,
I see Hari want to create warehouse product after Product master creation and without extending to warehouse data, is it possible ?
Thanks

Hi hari_y11
Could you please check Tcode- /SCWM/MIG_PRODUCT - Warehouse Product Migration. Upload Format is the structure- /SCWM/S_PRODUCT_MIG.
You can use monitor for change.
Please let us know if you have further questions.
Kind Regards,
Ajit
