We have the requirement and need to setup a script or similar that can be either manually started or otherwise during SAP Server reboots (ie OS Patches etc..)
We, technical team usually gracefully stop and start SAP however we have the MS Windows OS Patches auto scheduled and deployed on a monthly basis, during this time we would like to implement something that would at minimum gracefully shut down SAP
Suggestions Welcome
Thank you all in advance

Thanks Shalin, i was aware of the autostart but of course is not feasible to enable as you say and we agree need to ensure OS , server etc are stable
In other words we would have to stop/start sap manually just to make sure everything as pre-requisites are in place

For Autostart - There is an option to enable a parameter "Autostart = 1" in the Instance profiles, but SAP does not recommend this option as, SAP has to be started only after making sure the OS is fine and perfect.
Regarding the Auto-Update, I would advise you to disable auto update and plan on a manual downtime/maintenance where-in the updates are installed manually in the server.
