Auto packing for inbound delivery not working

Dear experts,

I have a weird issue with a specific material A, (that has been created in copy from another material B for which all works correctly): after production confirmation, the inbound delivery is created but not automatically distributed to decentralized EWM. The cause is that auto packing of products is not carried out, so I have to do that manually through VL32N in order to distribute the delivery and get the 101 movement done.
I compared the master data of the two materials A and B and they are identical, also same packaging reference material and packaging group. What could have gone wrong?
I also would like to know in which program and in which point of it I should insert a breakpoint to debug, maybe in this way I can understand what's happening by debugging it.

Many thanks in advance for your time

Marco

Hello marcose

You can put a breakpoint in class IF_EX_BADI_HU_AUTOPACK and method METHOD_PREPARE or METHOD_PROPOSAL and check further as to what is happening.

Hi, thank you. The reason was we didn't maintain the base unit of measure of the ref. pack. material as alternative unit of measure on the material, that prevented the automatic packing.

Hello,

Did you check the packing instructions for this material?

Please check it and let us know.
