Attribute load for a Product

If I have a product with an attribute e.g Category and the product file has values:

ProductID     Category

Shoe1           Running

Shoe2           Basketball

Would I need to load the Category master data type separately or would it get filled as a result of loading the Product master data type?

Hi Sajeev,

Your question is not very clear to me, you mentioned category is an attribute and then you also mentioned it as MDT?

In general, if category is an attribute in product MDT, then you need to upload it via product MDT only. The above mentioned example can be loaded.
