Attribute data to be entered for all the master data in SAP

Does anyone know what data needs to be entered in all the attributes in all the master data in SAP?
Like any range of values for the attributes, because there is no specific webpage or resource for the same. For example what is to be entered in "IO Customer Frozen Window" attribute in Demand stream master data.

Thanks in advance!

Hi jayshah1299,

With regards to the attribute "IOCFROZENWINDOW", one can use the SAP IBP Fiori app "Attributes". You will see that it is defined as:

  • "Name/description: IO Customer Frozen Window";
  • a "Status" which may be e.g. "Active";
  • a "Data Type: DECIMAL (18, 6)";
  • in which Planning Areas it is used;
  • and in what Master Data Types it is an Assigned Attribute.

If you would like to know what the purpose of the key figure "IOCFROZENWINDOW" is, I suggest you to use the SAP IBP Fiori app "Key Figure Calculations". You will see that it is defined as:
  • a "Calculation":
    IOCFROZENWINDOW@REQUEST = AVG( "IOCFROZENWINDOW@WKPRODLOCCUSTGROUP" )
  • a "Status" which may be e.g. "Active";
  • an "ID" for the key figure: "IOCFROZENWINDOW";
  • a "Name": "IO Customer Frozen Period";
  • a "Description": "Inventory Optimization Input: For customer demand stream locations, specifies how many weeks of the downstream demand forecast are frozen. Changes in the demand forecast can only occur outside the specified window.";
  • a "Base Planning Level:" "WKPRODLOCCUSTGROUP";
  • and so forth...

I believe the "Description" holds the answer to your question, which is the intended purpose of this key figure.

Yes. It helps Vincent, Thank you. But one more question in this thread is that some attributes need alphabetical letters to be put in the column as its input so what about that? any specific webpage to explain that or any good resource?

jayshah1299 Thanks for your comment. Could you give me an example? This way, it will become more clear to me what you mean with letters in the column, i.e. which column?
