ATP check for planned Order in APO

Dear friend,

As I am new in APO and it might be basic question for the expert. But it is very special for me to learn and get knowledge in APO. I have tried to study on Internet, read sap training book but something need to your help.

From your support, I can build the bridge to connect APO and ECC successful. I also created some integration model to transfer data between APO and ECC. I can check the stock, view master data and run heuristic in Product view. But in Product view transaction code (RRP3), when I do ATP check, it always said that component is missing althout the stock can cover these planned order. You can see the picture below

  What is the stock situation of components other than 102-130? Are they available or not (with zero qty)?

    Check the correlation calculation mode setting as seen in Customizing for Production Planning and Detailed Scheduling under Maintain Global Parameters and Defaults-->Execute tab.

If a correlation with adjustment is made, the confirmed quantities of the components are adjusted based on the components with the least confirmation. In other words system follows what is called as 'partial confirmation logic' based on availability of the component with lowest available quantity/stock.

This setting is the default hopefully and so in your case if any one or other cpts (apart from 102-130) have zero stock, then system confirms zero for all.

You can x-check by having 1 unit for all cpts other than 102-130 and see if the system confirms 1 for 102-130 also.

In the availability check result screen look for the missing parts indicator field also. For 102-130 it should not be checked on and for other components actually missing or not in stock at all it should be set.

Please check and confirm.

Hi Kumar,

I have just check global parameter, currently we are using correlation with adjusment and I understand with this function. I have checked all material in BOM and there are no any material is shortage. BOM include 8 material but ATP just show only 5 material is missing as picture below

The problem might come from material master, isn't it?

Hi,

I have just found the reason why ATP always display missing for some of component. That is I have maintained checking mode in product master. When I empty this field as suggest from SAP help (F1) for this field, ATP checking run smoothly then.

Thanks for your support a lot, it seems not to work fine. I have tried with your suggestion above but it always said that material is missing. Hopefully we will have the answer from the other expert.

This is an ATP problem.  I assume you are using a straight 'product check', please confirm.

If so, please display the ATP tab for the component material that shows as 'missing' but you think should be available.

Also, please display your Scope of check.

Sorry because I don't know exactly meaning of "product check". If yes, could you please explain more about it?

Hi VuPham,

Is your issue resolved.

If not please change the SNP Product horizon and PPDS horizon dates to future in RRP3..

By default SAP will look for stock with in the horizon for available stock..

HI Bala,

It is not solve, I have change the SNP and PP/DS horizon for FG and raw material but it always show material is missing.

Hi Vu Pham,

Do not have complete idea why stock is not confirmed..

Check below scenarios..

If you want to  give commit manually you can try using /SAPAPO/BOPIN.

In your RRP3 screen shots though order is not confirmed available qty is reduced from req. qty..

Select the order and check ATP check button in RRP3 and try to execute..

Use ATP tab in RRP3 and check if there is any confirmation is given or stock is struck in Temp. Qty Assignment. /SAPAPO/AC04..

Can you try using simulation ATP check in /SAPAPO/AC06 and check.

If there is any issue with the ATP check then we can identify..

It seems not work fine, there are no any issue when I do simulation ATP check. Do you have any other idea?

Hi Vu Pham,

If stock exist that should be committed in a Prod. Order. If not got commit then it might be a issue in Material or stock or ATP settings.

Check Material MRP views and Free stock available or not..

Rule control what you have used for the ATP group and Business Event.

If you have used No Checking Horizon, No sub location checkis used then it is ok or try to change it to confirmation at checking horizon.. Its only a Lead time commit..

If all are ok then you need to post more details or others experts need to react if I miss something...
