I created a new MDT with 5 attributes and all of them are showing as active. When I select the MDT in available attributes and it shows up in selected attributes. After activation of PA , MDT is not available in selected attributes and all the attributes showing as inactive. Where I am missing.
Request clarification before answering.
Hi Jeff,
Please check on Guru's suggestion. The master data in case has to be part of at least 1 planning level. If you still face the issue, can you please confirm if you observe the same behavior on both, "Configuration" and in the brand new "Planning Areas" app(tile) ?
Best,
Ivan

Ivan & Guru,
Thanks for your response. I created new MDT and not able to assign it to PA. So it' not assigned to any Planning level or KF. I also checked in new Planning Areas and it's not showing up there also.

Mr. Lingiah,
I exactly did the same steps and still not able to add the MDT to PA. I also tried without activating MDT added to PA and activated the PA. Still it didn't work.
Mr. Guru,
We didn't even not able to assign the PA, so it's not used in any planning level or Key Figure assignment.
Any suggestions are welcome
Jeff

Hi Jeff - is this master data used in any planning levels? And I think you can't have a planning level without it assigned as a base planning level to at least one key-figure (not sure if this is rectified in the latest releases, sorry). So, you should be able to see this master data in your PA post using it in some planning levels and the planning levels in some KFs,
Thanks,
Regards - Guru

Hi Jeff,
You need to follow the below steps.
1. Create attributes and activate
2. Create master data type and assign attributes and activate
2. Assign master data types to the planning area and activate (Planning levels and key figure are prerequisite)
Best Regards,
Lingaiah
