What is the usage of the field "Safety Stock Logic", located in Tab Extra in MAT1 ?

Your screenshot shows 1 of 5 extra attributes on /SAPAPO/MATLOC (location product master data) where SAP allows to maintain a customer value for whatever purpose. Someone in your Application team (or whoever configures the system) named it like this. Such field lables / names for such extra fields AT101-AT105 on MATLOC can be configured in the APO customizing.
