APO DP Exceptions in Business Scenarios with /SAPAPO/MC8V and /SAPAPO/MC96B

Dear Gurus

We have a client whose demand planning processes include:

- fixed splits for some SKUs

- fixed splits for some clients;

- forecast some SKUs using sales office

- forecast some SKUs using supply center

We think we can handle this using transaction /SAPAPO/MC8V for split calculation, and transaction /SAPAPO/MC96B for forecast; in both cases creating different variants for different selection profiles (/SAPAPO/MC77) as needed.

Do you think this is the right approach?

Any similar experience or SAP notes that you can share?
