Hi all,
In the FSM mobile app, I would like technicians to be able to edit their own efforts.
In the screen configuration the edit option is turned on in the Efforts screen configurator.
In the user group, the permissions are set to OWN for CRUD under TIMEEFFORT.
I even logged in as admin to see if the option came up but it didnt.
Anyone have any idea on whether this can be modified? our coresystems planner is connected to SAP b1 via a cloud connector if that is going to have any impact on the permissions.
Request clarification before answering.
Hi Nick
Once an effort is synchronized to the ERP (SBO in this case) it can't be edited anymore. The reason is that it might already have been invoiced at this point.
To allow the user to edit efforts, it is mandatory to have an approval process as described here: https://help.sap.com/viewer/fsm_plan_dispatch/Cloud/en-US/time-material-journal-prerequisites.html
If you do not want a human being to do the approval, you can automate it using business rules based on certain actions the mobile user is doing. Which one is suited best depends a lot on your individual workflow.
Best regards
Raphael Barabas
