Adjust stock in EWM but not in ERP

We have discrepancies for a material where the value in EWM is actually incorrect and the stock listed in ERP is correct. Stock analyzer and stock check transactions only seem to correct the ERP value. Is there a away to update the EWM stock and leave the ERP as is?

Hi Scott - I suppose it is possible an erroneous adjustment was made in EWM- but didn't post to ECC. It is necessary to take the queue errors into consideration when reconciling EWM and ECC. If there is a stuck queue, that should be resolved first. This might be helpful: 2557754 - How to execute /SCWM/ERP_STOCKCHECK - SAP for Me.

We ended up creating a custom report to view queue errors with material and other data to narrow our focus when resolving specific material discrepancies. You can view the queue errors themselves in SMQ1 (Outbound) and SMQ2 (Inbound). Same t-codes work for both EWM and ECC. ECC Table TRFCQSTATE might be helpful for viewing ECC inbound queue error details.

Hope this is helpful.

Hi,

"We have discrepancies for a material where the value in EWM is actually incorrect and the stock listed in ERP is correct."

How is that even possible? And how do you know that something in EWM is not correct?

What is the difference? Is there stock missing in EWM? Then you can upload the stock and say that you do not want to post it to ERP.

All the above is no official SAP statement.

Want to learn EWM?

Check for EWM courses: https://training.sap.com/trainingpath/Applications-Extended+Warehouse+Management-EWM+in+S4HANA

Get a SAP Learning Hub Subscription: https://training.sap.com/learninghub

And it is EWM. NOT eWM - Duh!

And if your question includes the word "transfer order" - do NOT tag the question with Extended Warehouse Management!

The physical inventory reflected in ERP is correct. The physical inventory shown in EWM is not. How that happened, i dont know. We're new to EWM and working out the kinks. The stock shown in EWM needs to be brought down to match what is shown in ERP. That was the ask. Pretty clear I thought.

I am in a similar situation. The configuration in my system appears to be incorrect and an inbound delivery is created when a transfer between EWM and IM Slocs is done using MIGO. This results in Phantom inventory getting created in EWM instead of a goods issue posting. So I need to reduce the stock in EWM without modifying the stock in ERP. Thoughts?

You should have stock same in both the systems and if stock not same those said reports helpful- if any difference authorized user can post the differences!

But how can they post the difference to affect just the EWM side? EWM is too high and needs to be adjusted (lowered) to match ERP amount.

Just test these transaction codes in Quality system and once you are happy- you can execute the same in production system.
