Additional Functions for Multiple Counter Plans (Master Data)

Dear all,

We would like to activate the additional functions in the customizing for the PM maintenance plans (for multiple counter plans). Once the flag has been set in the customizing, the activation can no longer be changed. Additional fields for the cycle sets and scheduling in the multiple counter plans are then activated and displayed, which can then be used additionally (e.g. in IP01, IP02, IP03). So far so good.

Can someone pls answer technically which functions in the background are newly or additionally activated with this flag? Or are the functions all already activated and the customizing only shows the additional fields in the multiple counter plan for master data maintenance?

Hi Igor,

I dont see you need to activate any thing separately. When you activate in configuration, it will update the relevant tables, configurations etc.

In case of any issues, you can check SAP Notes, Correction or update will be available.

Thank you very much for your reply. I'm aware that with the customizing, we already have all the functionalities included and we don't have to activate anything additionally. My question is more on what is technically enabled with this flag. It has to trigger new functions and fields and I would be very interested in that. Unfortunately, I was not able to find any additional information in detail at SAP and there is no SAP note on this information.
