Additional field on transportation unit (SAP S/4HANA)

Hi all,

I have some fields such as temperature temp tale that I want to capture in the transportation unit representing the container. However, I could not find a suitable field on the TU to capture that. There are also no ability to use characteristic fields like what we can do in material master and HU. I looked at use of attributes/attribute groups but that seems to be related to using value list and for categorisation so are not suitable for our purpose. Does anyone know of a better way to incorporate additional fields that are not available in the standard TU?

Appreciate any pointers on the above.

Hi @SFC3 ,

Standard feature is available to maintain temperature via resource master. Please investigate from your end and let us know if you still need enhancement so someone could provide that.

Hi Ajit, I know about the screen you mentioned. My question was whether there is a standard solution that we can use to capture additional fields that are not available on the TU. Temperature related fields like temp tale was just one example to give context. We definitely do not have a means to use classification (i.e. create characteristic fields) for the TU, right? -> FPM_CONFIG_EXPERT = ‘X’ set in user parameters and then check the place where you want add extra fields
