Addition to existing stocks/empty Bin

Hi,

In storage type

Using Putaway rule add to existing stock/empty bin,

putaway split is also active,

Mixed storage of same product and different batches allowed in a bin,

level of addn is highest HU.

But system creating task in empty bins. Task on partial bins not happening?

System will work fine.

Do you already have matching quant attributes in the HU in the destination bin where you expect system to put away based on addition to existing stock?

If there is no suitable HU already in the destination storage bin (Once you do the put away for the first time- system will follow next empty bin strategy).

See below example:

I did put away for the first time- System has to follow next empty bin because there is NO suitable HU already in the destination bin into which system can add the stock.

Next put away:

Now system knows that there is/are already suitable HU in the destination bin into which stock addition can be done. so It will follow addition to existing stock.

for your setting for the split during put away- you need to activate some sort of capacity check so that system can understand the remaining capacity in the destination bin.

I found Addn Stock Forbidden field as set to 'M'.

The Putaway profile in the warehouse data of Product master was not permitted to add to existing stock.

I then changed the permissions and now its working.

Hi Abhishek, in this case would be good to start with WT creation logs. There you see if a correct strategy takes place and if some bins are skipped because of the locks/capacity issues.
