I would like the Planning Group from Planning Group Level to be added as an attribute field on the 'Location | Product' and the 'Resource' planning levels.
Please find attached pictures of how it should look.
All values used on 'Location | Product' and 'Resource' Should be created in 'Planning Group' beforehand, if not i would like IBP to return attached Rejection Code.
While testing with one Planning Group, the objective is to have planning group as a single filter value to get a combined Planning View with Product Location and Resources.
When input data in Planning Group i would expect the yellow marked line to be a fault. since that name isn't a IBP stored Planning Group.
I have the same issue on 'Resource level'

Hello Kumar
Please add attribute check similar to PLUNITID in screenshot below
Steps to Follow:
1. Open Location Product Master Data
2. At the Bottom enable Attribute check "ON"
3. Select Planning Group Master Data and select check attribute as "Planning Group"
4. Select assigned Attribute as "Planning Group"
5. Activate MDT and Dependent PA
6. Observe that Planning Group check is enabled and those records which are not in "Planning Group" are not accepted for that attribute
7. Repeat steps 1 to 6 for Resource MDT also

Hi Raghunath,
Yes, it worked. Thanks for the quick response.
Small query : Planning group accepting data when i upload data in capacity group only. Planning group rejecting data when there is no data in capacity group.
Where can i find the relation between capacity group and planning group.
Thanks once again.

Hello Kumar
I have seen multiple examples where such attributes are added in MDTs.
Example 1:
Example 2: Planning Unit
This is Key from Planning Unit (simple mdt) and also assigned in Location Product MDT as non key
Example 3:
The one I setup, to test your case . I didnt come across this issue and system is accepting combinations technically.
So, the issue could be little difficult to identify, as this kind of same attribute usage across multiple MDTs is not so common for supply planning master data.
Please also find some caution before applying this change to any PA which already has data below
Hi Ragunath

Hi Raghunath,
As you can see here the loc/Resource is set with a planning group
And then i use that planning group in the filter for creating a view.
however when i see the view i can't understand the logic behind what IBP shows.
to my understanding i would only expect to have the yellow line appear, but i don't get why the planning group isn't shown on the combination. as we see in the first picture it should be New_Test.

Hello Kumar
For Key-Figures at resource level, as per your design, you need to assign "Planning Group" as non root attribute in planning level from Resource MDT for it to show in WKRESLOC Planning levels
Thanks and Regards

Hi Ragunath
I am able to see 'Planning Group' attribute at WKRESLOC level.
But when i try to filter data with 'Planning Group'.
data should reflect for existing combinations only.
Location ID Resource ID Planning Group
3330 3330_Line1
3330 3330_Line2 New_Test
In planning view, it is showing all data.
