Hi Experts,
We are using copy of UPA IBP1 for DP Process and want to use historical data as a proportional factor for time-based disaggregation.
Since ACTUALSQTYPRIORYEAR is not a stored KF, we have to build a logic to copy data from ACTUALSQTYPRIORYEAR /ACTUALQTY to Custom KF at TWK level (also tried at other levels); however the volume of ActualsQty prior year is not matching to the Custom KF as TWK in 2018 as there are different TWKs in different year ex: 2018, 2019 and so on.
Ex: in 2018, Tech Week are TWK1.2018, TWK2.2018, and so on, where as
in 2019, Tech Week are TWK1a.2019, TWK1b.2019, TWK2.2019 and so on.
Now, when I copy at TWK level, it would lead to incorrect copy as data from TWK1.2018 will copy to TWK1a.2019 and TWK2.2018 to TWK1b.2019....Same if we copy at calendar week level, disaggregation to TWK will be incorrect and hence aggregation at Month will be wrong.
Summary: The Volume is correct on at the level where it is copied but not at other time levels (both lower and higher levels)
This is a very basic requirement in DP to consider historical data as proportional factor. How is this handled in other projects?
Did anyone face this issue and how to handle year on year difference in TWK.

Nawanit

Hi Nawanit,
There is a standard KF ACTUALQTY12MOFFSET which can be used to copy the prior year data. I suggest to do the Copy at Monthly level in this KF and let the Period factor dis aggregate according to current year weights.
Thanks,
Rohit
