Hi Experts,
I have the scenario when a customer in chemical industry is managing some materials using batch specific unit of measure in S/4HANA and want to handle the planning activities in SAP IBP using the batch specific UoM.
Is this process supported by IBP, upload stock of the active ingredient from S/4HANA and plan the finished goods in the alternative UoM.
Highly appreciate your valuable inputs.
Best regards.

It is not out of the box, but IBP is pretty flexible in regards to modelling
Normally, the UoM Conversion is loaded as a key figue attribute on level Product-UoMTo
If you model Batches, you usually have a master ata type Batch-Product.
So instead of just modelling the classical UoM Conversion factor you could model a second one on level Product-Batch-UoMTo. This would then be available for all KF that have the Batch in their base planning level. But you could not use that factor for "normal" key figures that come without he batches such as demand figures.
To give a proper answer, you would need to provide a picture of what you want to achieve with IBP as there are many modules in use. In standard configuration, the batches are only available in planning area SAP4S, which is the timeseries based Supply planning that considers shelf live. You can model batches in any planning area , but the available algorithm usually do not consider the batches.
Check the online help for SAP4S to get more insights, you will find sub-chapters there for key figures and their panning level
