Warehouses of today are constantly evolving especially with the onset of e-commerce and advancements in supply chain processes. Such an evolution calls for a future-proof mobile warehouse management solution and SAP is working tirelessly on the topic.

SAP Warehouse Operator is a next-generation native mobile app that is built on the powerful SAP Extended Warehouse Management solution to bring its powerful capabilities onto smartphones. The app currently works on iPhones.

The app has a modern, native user experience and leverages iPhone's powerful on-device features like computer vision and artificial intelligence to help warehouse workers efficiently perform their mission-critical warehouse tasks directly from their iPhones.

You now have an opportunity to get early insights into the app's development and directly influence its future direction. All you need to do is to head to the SAP Warehouse Operator influence page under the SAP Customer Engagement Initiative program and register yourself.

Please note that the registrations close on July 8, 2022. Please visit this page to know more about the SAP Customer Engagement Initiative program.

Looking forward to receiving your interest and engaging with you in the program.

Hi,

I think many of us wonder how this aligns with the future of the RF Framework. Can we get any more information about this?

Is this going to replace RF and include the customizing options we have there or just be "RF Light" for iPhone? Will this come to Android to support "proper" barcode scanners / rugged devices?

Hello Per Lundh,

The SAP Warehouse operator App is an alternate option to consume SAP Extended Warehouse Management features on a consumer-grade device like iPhone. It does not replace RF Framework.

Currently, the focus is on helping the warehouse workers perform their tasks using iPhones by offering them a native user experience and by leveraging its powerful on-device features.

Support for Android devices is in our plans, but we cannot comment on a timeframe.

Hello Karthik,

The app needs SAP BTP and SAP Mobile Services in it to function. The app currently supports Extended Warehouse Management in SAP S/4HANA PCE/OP 2021.

The CEI program involves validation of future concepts which might not involve working on real systems but using prototypes. So, I would definitely encourage you to take part in the program.

With regards to you not being able to join the program, could you please explain what issue are you facing?
