Welcome to the latest release highlights for SAP Best Practices for SAP Integrated Business Planning (IBP). In this blog, we will explore the key enhancements and updates introduced in release 2408. Let's dive into the details.
Enhancements in the SAPIBP1 Sample Planning Area:
The SAPIBP1 sample planning area has undergone several improvements in this release.
- One notable enhancement is the introduction of the NAGINDEPNETWORK attribute. This new attribute allows you to split your supply network into subnetworks when running the Network Topology Operator application job. This feature provides greater flexibility for the users as they can now select subnetworks via the planning filter that has been enabled for the Network Aggregation Operator.

- In the past, the alpha and beta coefficient in the Croston TSB algorithm had to be defined manually. With release 2408, they can be calculated by an algorithm. Based on this new functionality, we updated the BestFit_Intermittent_Demand forecast model to allow the algorithm to calculate the coefficients. This improvement enhances the accuracy and reliability of demand forecasting, enabling users to make more informed decisions based on reliable data.

You can find all changes on the sample planning area SAPIBP1 and the details behind them here.
