1. Context
If you use the robots from the vendor Geek+ to move the handling units, you need to do the corresponding configurations in SAP EWM and SAP Warehouse Robotics and meet the following requirements in your business process.
2. Business Process and Configuration in SAP EWM
2.1 Entering the Robot Working Area
For example, in the following picture, you want to add the new HU (in the left corner) to the robot working area.
Suppose that you’ve defined the following storage bins as entry points:
- PACK-I01-01
- PACK-I01-02
- PACK-I01-03
- PACK-I01-04
You move the HU to either one of the bins above, for example, storage bin PACK-I01-01.
After that, SAP EWM creates a warehouse task to move the HU to the robot working area by a robot. In this case, PACK-I01-01 should be the source bin of the warehouse task, and a bin in the robot working area is the destination bin.
2.2 Leaving the Robot Working Area
For an existing HU in the robot working area that is leaving the robot working area, the HU must leave the area via some predefined storage bins. Those bins are known as the exit points with the technical name removePoint.
For example, in SAP EWM, you create a warehouse task to move the HU to the exit point, storage bin HANDOVER-01. The destination bin of the warehouse task should be bin HANDOVER-01. Once the HU is unloaded at the exit point, ensure that the HU is removed out of the exit point before SAP EWM sends another warehouse task that uses the same exit point as the destination bin. For more information, see the chapter of “Requirement HUs” (especially for the empty HUs)
Additional Requirements in SAP EWM.
3. Configurations in SAP Warehouse Robotics
When creating a robot process in app “Define Robot Process”-> step “Define Robot Process”, define the following additional parameters for the fleet management system:
Parameter |
Value |
enterPoint |
Name of the SAP EWM storage bins which are used as an entrance |
removePoint |
Name of the SAP EWM storage bins which are used as an exit |
To conclude, if you're using robots from the vendor Geek+, remember to complete the configurations both in SAP EWM and SAP Warehouse Robotics. If you have any questions, share your thoughts by adding a comment.

2. SAP EWM
Additional Requirements in SAP EWM(特别是对于空的处理单元的章节)。
3. SAP Warehouse Robotics
|
值 |
enterPoint |
removePoint |
