With the integration of SAC, users can monitor strategic and operational transportation KPIs in real-time, analyze transportation processes, assess issues and take immediate actions. All of these functions are role based giving the users a better user experience.
The dashboard contains 2 main elements - Shipment Execution KPI Dashboard and the Fleet Optimization and customer service level KPIs.
Shipment Execution KPI Dashboard
Fleet Optimization and customer service level KPIs
Within these 2 dashboards numerous KPI's can be tracked -
Transportation Planning
SAP TM can manage inbound, outbound and a combination of inbound and outbound logistics. What does this mean? When a truck goes out to deliver a shipment, the truck can be planned to collect uplifts, returns or even inbound stock based on a completely different Purchase Order.
A Transportation Executive can have a look at the overall status of deliveries that are late or on-hold to take immediate action as well checking the performance of a carrier's performance. A carrier can be measured against their service level agreements. Filters can be used to analyze specific routes or shipment lanes.
Transportation Cost Analysis
Transportation Management always comes down to the dollars and cents. Saving just a few dollars on each shipment will add up over the course of 1 financial year saving money and freeing up resources.
The Transportation Manager or Finance Director can see detail of the Freight Costs. They can visualize the cost distribution by carrier, product and invoice charge analysis by carrier, mode and order type. They can see a summary view such as total gross weight, total invoice charge, and average cost. This comes in handy as one of the parameters used in transportation is weight. The shipper or customer can have an in depth view of the products being transported and the costs associated with them.
Fleet OptimizationThe Finance Overview gives the Transportation Manager a comprehensive view of transportation organization's statistics and performance. The profitability can also be analyzed by different KPI's measured.
KPI criteria shows the volume in bubbles on the map for each country which represents a market unit. Deep analysis can also be done for revenue, gross margins, costs, returns, etc. The cost distribution can also can also be seen by carrier, mode or order type giving insights into business.
