SAP TM Strategy to Re-Determined Organizational Structure

Follow up the previous Blogs for determine the Organizational Structure (SAP TM New Way to determine the Organizational Dat... - SAP Community), in this blog will explain how to Re-Determine Organizational Structure in the Freight Document.

The Organizational Structure can be determined in Freight Unit and other documents as Freight Order, Freight Booking etc.

Normal case you we use a Condition to determine the Organizational Structure based in some criteria, i.e Source Location = (Plant), but one-use case could be that based on the Plant which we’re shipping might use different Purchase Organization - Purchase Group and Execution Organization - Execution Group.

For example, we do Sales Order Integration and initial the FU have been created with for Plant A, but after reprioritizing the Sales Order Plant B is determined and, in this case, we must Re-Determined the Organizational Structure.

Now let’s go check it! 😊

First, you’ve defined the Condition for determine the Organizational Structure at Freight Unit Document level.

The strategy for Re-Determine the Organizational Structure you can find under SPRO à SAP Transportation Management -> Basic Functions-> Process Controller -> Define Methods: 

• REDET_EO à Redetermine Execution Organization - Execution Group.
• REDET_PO à Redetermine Purchase Organization - Purchase Group
• REDET_OU à Redetermine Execution Organization - Execution Group / Purchase Organization - Purchase Group

Follow your need you can use any of them, in my case I used the REDET_OU.

You will need to create a strategy for the services TOR_CHACOS.

Now Assign Methods to a Strategy:

After creating it assign the strategy to your Document Type direct or via Condition:

My condition to determine the Organizational Structure is based on the Source Location:

Sales Order initial have the Plant xxx2

Freight Unit:

Now have change the Sales Order with the Plant xxx3

Here you can see the changes in the Freight Unit according with my Condition.
