SAP S/4HANA Extended Warehouse Management – A User Perspective

The release of SAP S/4HANA includes the possibility for customers to use SAP Extended Warehouse Management (EWM) as an embedded warehouse management system (WMS).  Alternatively, EWM could be used in a decentralised way (alongside SAP S/4HANA) as it has been done for many years with SAP ERP.  How SAP EWM is deployed is a critical decision for customers and this presentation will discuss these options.  The usage of EWM on the SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud will also be detailed.

Descriptions of the basic warehouse functionality - inbound, outbound and internal warehouse movements - will be covered together with some of the optimization opportunities available with advanced tools.

Solution demonstrations will showcase the usability of EWM.  In particular, various newly developed Fiori apps will reveal the power of the new experience as warehouse personnel discover business processes that require their attention.
