Aside from our regular on-premise and Cloud product releases, the SAP Extended Warehouse Management team is constantly working on quality of life improvements that are meant to make the User Experience much more pleasant and efficient. On rare occasions however, general knowledge of these improvements gets lost in the background of the steady stream of features, functionalities and enhancements we regularly bring. So today, I would like to share with you a
note that highlights one such improvement.
Starting with EWM in S/4HANA1809 a new functionality is available that allows calling a dedicated warehouse management monitor node via a report or parameter transaction. The report can be used to call any node of the warehouse management monitor - this technically means to call transaction /SCWM/MON, automatically open the selection screen of a specific monitor node and, optionally, execute the selection. Based on the mentioned functionality a simple warehouse transaction or SAP Fiori tile for end users can be created, which calls one dedicated node of the warehouse management monitor.
For more technical details regarding this improvement, you can directly access our
latest consulting note highlighting this feature.
In the “Technical Details” section of the note you can find more technical background information, as well as how to fill the report and where to get the data from. As this functionality can be integrated in SAP Fiori Launchpad, the note also briefly covers the required steps for this integration.
